– AAA hosts a Strollerthon Aug. 7 at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe. Volunteers will walk or push baby strollers along a marked three-mile route and seek pledges to raise funds to purchase child safety and booster seats for free distribution to low-income families. – The Cruisin’ Tigers GTO Club will host the 14th annual All Pontiac Car Show Aug. 8 at the Kane County Events Center on Kirk Road in Geneva. The event, which begins at 8 a.m. with registration and ends with judging at 4 p.m., will feature more than 200 Pontiacs and a swap meet. Registration costs $12 before July 30 and $15 on the day of the show. Proceeds benefit Marklund, which serves infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities.
