Thomas Richard Markley, 62 years, Vet US Air Forces Airman First Class, of Canada, formerly of Berkeley and Chicago. Beloved husband of Laura, nee Rogan; dear father of Thomas L. (Robyn), Karen Howell and Kristin Markley (Rocky-Ian MacLeod); loving grandfather of Elizabeth and Dean; fond brother of Dorothy (Harold) Carr, and Marilyn (the late Matthew) Romanec; devoted son of the late Sylvia, nee Reiter and Aubrey; son-in-law of Matthew and Shirley Rogan; brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle of many. Tom was proud to serve his country and he worked for Air Canada, he went through the ranks with Air Canada to start at O’Hare Airport as Aircraft Service Coordinator to Load Master. He retired to enjoy cottage life in Sudbury Ontario Canada. Resting at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, Hennessy-Bruno Funeral Director, 1701 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace (between Rt. 83 and Summit Ave.), Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m. Lying in state at the Berkeley-Hillside Presbyterian Church, Taft and Ridge Avenue, Hillside.
