Once again we are hearing the faint drums of war beating. This time the target would seem to be Iran. Iran has not directed any proven hostile actions against the U.S. since 1979. Since then it has become one of our favorite bogeymen. Our government and our public seem to ignore the fact that the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists consisted mainly of Saudi nationals and yet we don’t seem to be pointing our guns toward Mecca or Riyadh.
Instead of finding new enemies to attack, why don’t we put as much work into finding a workable peace for all sides?
