David J. Bryan, 77, of Lake Forest, formerly of Locust Valley, NY, passed away of cancer on Sunday, August 1, 2004. Beloved husband of Elizabeth; father of Alexandra Bryan and Bettina Snyder; grandfather of Eckert and Justin Snyder; brother of Helen “Rusty” Marshall; uncle of numerous nieces and nephews; he has two beloved stepsons Peter and Philip Merlin and two stepdaughters Diane Homan and Barbara Neal; and nine grandchildren. Mr. Bryan graduated from Hotchkiss School and Williams College. He served in the Navy and worked as a stock analyst at Bankers Trust in New York City. He moved to Lake Forest in 1992. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 4 at Lake Forest Cemetery. No visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of the Holy Spirit, 400 E.
