I was wondering why the Illinois Republican Party wouldn’t use the candidate who came in second in the primary to replace former candidate for the U.S. Senate Jack Ryan.
What’s the purpose of a primary if the party doesn’t use it?
Isn’t it odd that the party would just pick someone to run on its own without including the state’s Republican voters in the decision?
