Colin Farrell wants his mommy. Boy, does he want his mommy.
Mom, in this case, is Angelina Jolie, Farrell’s co-star in the upcoming movie “Alexander.” Colin plays the lead while Angelina plays the conqueror’s mother, Olympias.
“He was all over her,” director Oliver Stone told Premiere magazine of the pair’s first meeting. “He was like the Irish boy–he wasn’t Alexander, and he was just falling in love with her … couldn’t help himself,” the director said. “I was thinking, ‘It’s the right choice, because he’s behaving like a baby.’ “
If Colin really wants to act out an oedipal fantasy, maybe Angelina can convince him to change his shorts.
Colin admits that he wears the same shamrock-covered boxers on the first day of every new film shoot, the New York Daily News reports.
“They’re my lucky charm,” he says. “They’re starting to get a bit old now, but I could never, ever part with them.”
