Mattie Mae Butler, “Ms. B”, 71, of Evanston, IL, entered eternal life on Friday, Aug. 6, 2004 from Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan, IL. Mattie leaves to cherish her precious memories and love to her husband of 53 years, Clarence Butler Jr. of Evanston, IL; her daughters, Brenda Idell (Donald) Pryor of Evanston, IL, Cathy Renee Charity of Waukegan, IL, Sherri Arlinda (Albert) Widermyre of North Chicago, IL and Rita LaVerne (Roosevelt) Askew of Evanston, IL; her brother, Wilbert (Carol) Goodine of Fort Washington, Maryland; two uncles, Troy Baynes of Washington, DC and Doyle Baynes of Anderson, SC; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special family friend, Warren Crowell. Home-going Services for Mattie will be held Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004 at Bethany Baptist Church of Christ, 1225 Elmwood Ave., Evanston, IL. Visitation 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Service 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Pastor Brenda J. Little officiating. Interment is at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, IL.
