Frank J. Huebner, D.D.S, age 84 years, Omaha, NE, died Sunday in Omaha. He was born in Chicago, IL, on Oct. 7, 1919. He was educated at St. Mel’s High School, Loyola University undergraduate and Loyola Dental School. He married Margaret Mlady of Rhinelander, WI on April 25, 1942. He served in the Army in 1944 for one year and then entered dental school. He was again called to service as Army Captain and head of the Sandhill Dental Clinic at Fort Benning, GA. After his discharge in 1953, he set up his dental practice in Oak Park, IL, and in 1962 opened an additional office in Arlington Heights, IL. He retired in 1974 and moved to Wisconsin. A year later he returned to practice in Rockford, IL, until he moved to Omaha, NE and joined the faculty of Creighton Dental School in 1978. For the next seven years he traveled daily to and from Macy, NE, to instruct Creighton students at the Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center where he established the dental clinic. He continued as a professor at the Creighton Dental School in Omaha until he retired in 1998 at the age of 79. He had a wonderful singing voice, and loved all spectator sports, especially baseball. He was a loving husband and father and a wealth of knowledge to his four children and 14 grandchildren. He will be truly missed by family, friends, and colleagues. He is survived by his wife, Margaret C. Huebner; daughters and sons-in-law, Chris and John Dockery of Omaha, NE, Karen and Gene Federhofer of Lisle, IL; sons and daughters-in-law: Greg and Mary Huebner of Indianapolis, IN, Frank and Margo Huebner of Chicago, IL; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Lorrianne Mannebach of Vernon Hills, IL; nieces and nephews. Vigil Service Tuesday, Aug. 10, 7 p.m., West Center Chapel, Omaha. Memorial Mass Thursday, Aug. 12, 10 a.m., St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Lisle, IL. Graveside Service Thursday, Aug. 12, 2 p.m., Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL (1400 South Wolf Road). Memorials are suggested to St. Bernard Catholic Church in Omaha or to St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha.
