The Chicago Storm signed its first player, finalizing a multiyear deal with defender/midfielder Ted Chronopoulos. Terms were not disclosed. The Storm is building for its inaugural season in the Major Indoor Soccer League, which begins in October.
Chronopoulos, 31, plays for the Charleston Battery of the A-League. The Battery will face the Fire in the semifinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Aug. 25 in Naperville.
