Registration is open for a Community Dialogue on Redevelopment, to be held from 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 18 in Downers Grove South High School’s cafetorium.
In a village where teardowns are increasing, organizers said their goal is to help preserve the balance between tradition and progress as the village addresses redevelopment issues.
Participants will be divided into small groups. and will focus on such questions as: What are the five to eight most undesirable aspects of your neighborhood that you believe need to be addressed in Downers Grove?
Registration is limited to 200 people.
“We’ve got to get people to be a part of a very valuable discussion that the Village Council will be able to use for formulating any future policies,” said Doug Kozlowski, village marketing director.
