Nan Netsch Kerr, 83, of Vero Beach, FL, died on Aug. 10, 2004 at Indian River Estates Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born Nan Smith Netsch on Aug. 7, 1921, in Chicago. Mrs. William S. Kerr lived in Evanston, IL for over 27 years before moving to Ft. Pierce, FL in 1981. She and her husband, Bill, moved to Vero Beach in 1993. A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Kerr was also an active volunteer and gave her time selflessly to many organizations including the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, The Settlement House, Northwestern University Circle, Garden Club of Evanston, Chicago Salvation Army, Condominium Association of Ocean Village and Resident Advisory Committee at Indian River Estates. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was an honorary member of the Tavern Club in Chicago and the White Lake Golf Club in Whitehall, MI. Mrs. Kerr is preceded in death by her husband, William S. Kerr II. Surviving are two sons, Andrew Duncan Kerr (wife, Pamela Snite) of Wilmette, IL and William Sleigh Kerr III of Topanga, CA; one daughter, Elizabeth Nan Kerr of Mt. Prospect, IL; two grandsons, Andrew Duncan Kerr Jr. of Chicago and Mathias Sleigh Kerr of Wilmette, IL; one brother, Walter Andrew Netsch Jr., (wife, Dawn Clark Netsch) of Chicago; two brothers-in-law, Douglas Hendrie Kerr (wife, Joan) of Ft. Pierce, FL and John Duncan Kerr (wife, Marion) of Bozeman, MT; sister-in-law, Nancy Kerr of Chatham, PA; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Indian River Estates West Chapel on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 2:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in Evanston, IL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Salvation Army, 1415 W.
