Think Randolph Street’s Restaurant Row is for suburban fiftysomethings with bucks to burn? Check out de cero, a new tony taqueria drawing raves for big flavor and fair prices–OK, it’s not your corner burrito joint, but at about $30 bucks a person with a couple of drinks, it beats one sixtyblue. Bring the homies: This menu’s for sharing. Must tries: corn soup ($4); duck nachos ($6); tomatillo pork taco ($3); chipotle chicken tamale ($3). Skip: charred baby octopus ($8). Opening weekend saw glitches–diners were parched by the time the margies arrived–then delighted by the taste–try the hibiscus or pear-cilantro ($8 each); skip the $7 house–but underwhelmed by the potency. Owners responded by adding another bar and a tipple more tequila.
