Alan Keyes’ effort to turn the Illinois senatorial contest into some sort of religious war is even more disturbing than his lack of any connection to Illinois. We need Keyes’ theology even less than we need his ignorance of the issues facing the state. The Illinois Republicans who engineered this disaster should be ashamed of themselves.
