Robert LaRocca, 83, of Clive, Iowa, passed away on Aug. 4, 2004, of renal cancer. A Memorial Service will be held on Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Of Angels Retirement Home Chapel, 1201 Wyoming Ave., Joliet, IL. Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice, 5820 Winwood Drive, Johnston, IA 50131. Robert was a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy and earning a Bronze Star. He worked as a steel melding foreman in both Chicago and Bettendorf, IA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed sports. Robert is survived by his children, Robert W. of Clive, IA and Peter J. of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, Joseph LaRocca and Antonia LaRocca of St. Charles, MO; sisters, Mary LaRocca of Joliet, IL, Anne Colombini of Broadview, IL and Rose Nappi of Downers Grove, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary “Beverly” LaRocca.
