Luis “Lucho” Mella, M.D., 81, loving husband of Carolyn, nee Carlson; beloved father of Ana, Amanda, Steven Mella and Nancy (Lance) Mella-Oliver; dear brother of Maria Luisa Suito, Consuelo Patsias and the late Ana Herrera, Nicolasa Bastovan, Eduardo and Andres Mella; fond uncle of many. Born in Callao, Peru. Luis was a physician and surgeon, past Chief of Surgery and President of Medical Staff at Augustana Hospital, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Alumni of Mayo Clinic and active in the Peruvian community.
