Leslie “Les” Brown, age 78, of Land O’Lakes, WI, formerly of the Chicago area, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004 at his home. He was born on Oct. 18, 1925 in Chicago, IL. “Les” worked as a developer and builder in Oak Forest, Palos Hills, Worth, Alsip and Orland Park. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European and Pacific Theaters. He is survived by his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Brown of Land O’Lakes, WI; sons, Larry Brown of Colorado, Ronny (Arleen) Brown of Seattle, WA and Eric (Donna) Brown of Oak Lawn, IL; stepsons, Gene (Pam) Eggert of Hartford, WI and Chris Eggert of Frankfort, IL; stepdaughters, Kim Capek of Oak Forest, IL and Cori (Alex) Charvet of Golden, CO; brother, Grover Brown of Florida; and 15 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2004 at Ely Memorial Church-UCC in Land O’Lakes, WI. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004 at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, WI and one hour prior to services at the church.
