– Chevrolet is dumping its “Like a Rock” ad slogan with a blitz of 10 new commercials to be aired during the Olympics. The slogan, based on a Bob Seger song, has been used since 1991. The new commercials will feature the redesigned Corvette, Malibu, Malibu Maxx, Silverado truck and full- and midsize sport-utility vehicles, as well as the Cobalt.

– Isuzu has shut its production line at a plant in Lafayette, Ind., ending 15 years of building trucks in Indiana. The last vehicle produced was a blue 2005 Rodeo. The plant, part of a Subaru and Isuzu partnership, will continue to build Legacy, Outback and Baja models for Subaru.

– Southbound local lanes of the Dan Ryan feeding Skyway interchange have been rerouted at 63rd Street. The right lane exits to the Skyway and the left continues on the Dan Ryan, shifting to the express lanes. The changes are expected to be in effect until early 2005.
