Arthur “Nels” Nelsen, age 78, lifelong resident of Lyons, WWII Navy veteran, loving husband of Irene, nee Gudac; dearest father of Joyce (Dennis) Le Beau, Sharon Nelsen and Arthur J.; cherished grandfather of Marc (Valeri), Michele (Tom) Kosiek, Melissa Le Beau, Kristen Washburn, Julie Bunders, Andy Zinkle, Arthur J. and William Nelsen; great-grandfather of Lauren, Dylan, Ashley, Megan, Dustin, Kody and Beau; many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Funeral services Wednesday, August 18, 2004, 11 a.m., at Tower Home for Funerals, 4007 S. Joliet Ave., (but not Joliet Road-between Harlem and First Ave., just south of Ogden Ave.) Lyons, IL. Cremation and inurnment will be with family members. Member of the Lyons Tigers AC, former member of the Elks Club, Berwyn, Cicero. Volunteer for the Lyons Fire Department for many years.
