Sigmund Joseph Lisowski, age 82, 20 year resident of Park Forest formerly of Chicago, passed away Friday, August 13, 2004, beloved husband of Virginia Lisowski; loving father of James (Patricia) Lisowski and Constance (Bruce) Anderson; dear brother of Ann (Russell) Drenth and Francis Baer; step-father of Robert Herr and John (Barbara) Herr; preceded in death by one sister Monica and one brother Edmund; he was the loving grandfather of many; great-grandfather to one. Sigmund was an electrician for 40 years and member of Local Union, IBEW #134. He was a proud American veteran having served during WWII in the U.S. Army where he received a purple heart for service. He was a 50 year member of the American Legion Post #474 and VFW Post #2825. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 17, from 2 to 9 p.m. at Hirsch Memorial Chapel, 7151 W. 183rd Street, Tinley Park. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
