Jean Morano, nee Waters, entered into Eternal Life on Aug. 14, 2004 at the age of 49 years. Resident of Fox Point. Mother of adoring daughters, Jasmine and Isabella; loving daughter of Ed and Anna Waters; beloved sister of Cathy (Doug) Phillips, Michael (Ramune) Waters, John Waters and the late James Waters; further survived by many dear aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends; also survived by Chris, father of Jasmine and Isabella. Jean, in her 49 years of life, was a vital, creative and passionate member of her family and community. She loved and expressed herself through art and combined this love with a Master’s Degree in Social Work to touch the lives of many. She was an avid gardener and singer. Jean will be remembered for her devotion to animals, especially her beloved dog, Jet and her cats, Felix, Rocket and Cindy. Most of all, her life and loves were her daughters, Jasmine and Izzy. Jean left us too soon, but her spirit and warmth are left on many she reached. “She cried nearly every day, not because she was sad, but because life was so beautiful, yet so short.” The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Froedtdert Hospital, especially Palliative Care Center, as well as the Covenant in-home hospice team. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Feerick Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Eugene’s Catholic Church, corner of Port Washington Road and Calumet Road in Fox Point. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jean’s name may be made to the Morano Children’s Trust Fund c/o the family.
