Desperate times call for desperate measures, and with Kirsten Dunst out of the picture, Jake Gyllenhaal took the decidedly desperate measure of going out with Jennifer Love Hewitt, according to The New York Post.
You might remember Hewitt as the unlucky girlfriend of Joey Lawrence, Carson Daly and a host of other Hollywood types.
But it seems Dunst isn’t completely out of the picture–she and Gyllenhaal have been spotted eating out and even grocery shopping since their split. Their reps insist they are just good friends, and an article in September’s Allure seems to support that theory.
Writer Kevin Sessums recalls Dunst checking out guys at New York’s Museum of Modern Art before she and Gyllenhaal announced their break-up, the New York Daily News reports. “It’s still fun to flirt with guys,” she told him then.
