“Survivor” heads into its ninth season with castaways named Cusack and Berry.

That would be Ami Cusack, a barista and model from Colorado, and Julie Berry, a youth mentor from Maine.

They’ll duke it out with 18 others on “Survivor: Vanuatu–Islands of Fire,” which takes place in a nation of more than 80 volcano-dotted islands in the southwest Pacific Ocean. The two-hour premiere airs Sept. 16 on CBS.

The castaways will compete in separate tribes of men versus women. Other participants include an FBI agent, a drill sergeant named Sarge, a Pennsylvania sheep farmer and a mechanical bull operator from Los Angeles. The oldest competitor is Scout Cloud Lee, a 59-year-old rancher from Oklahoma.
