Folks tired of the wait at O’Hare International Airport need to take a look at flying out of Milwaukee’s Mitchell Field.
I live in the far north suburbs and recently went to Virginia on business. The distance from my house to either airport is about 35 miles, yet the trip to Milwaukee takes about half the time because of traffic. Add to that the parking savings ($10 a day long-term) and it’s a no-brainer.
Until Chicago gets its air-traffic mess straightened out, Milwaukee is a very viable alternative for those north of the city.
