Olga Mazovick, passed away Aug. 14, 2004 in Austin, TX after a short illness. She was born on Nov. 11, 1918 in Chicago to David and Anna Horodny and graduated from Steinmetz High School. The family attended the Russian Evangelical Christian Church on Crystal St. where Olga met and married her husband, Nicholas Mazovick. They have three daughters, Janice, Lydia and Amy. Olga used her “talented” hands for knitting, sewing, piano and playing in the mandolin band at the Russian Church. The family eventually joined Midwest Bible Church which became their new home. Olga and Nick were dedicated Christians and they passed basic Bible teachings and principles on to their daughters. She loved spending time with her family. Olga worked as a secretary for the Portland Cement Association in Chicago/Skokie, IL. She loved her job and retired after 25 years to Bedford, TX. She attended the First Baptist Church of Bedford and was active in their Awana program as a Cubbie leader. Olga is survived by her daughters and their families, Janice (Jim) Story of Austin, TX, Lydia (Jack) O’Sullivan of Bedford, TX and Amy (Ray) Chase of Johnsburg, IL; nine granddaughters, Jennifer (Chris) Koch, Jill (Jim) DiSorbo, Jamie Story, Erin (Chad) Birdsong, Kristen (Chris) Mueninghoff, Megan and Jaclyn O’Sullivan and Kyla and Trace Chase; three great-granddaughters, Emily and Peyton Birdsong and Shelby DiSorbo; and three great-grandsons, Owen Mueninghoff and Jimmy and Jeb DiSorbo. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Services will be at Elmwood Cemetery Chapel in River Grove, IL on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Phantom Ranch, W309 S10910 Hwy 1, Mukwonago, WI 53149.
