– In an article on Page 3 of Wednesday’s WomanNews section, Georgia Sen. Zell Miller was incorrectly identified as a Republican. He is a Democrat.
The Tribune regrets the error.
– An Aug. 12 Business section story reported the results of an Illinois appellate court ruling in a longstanding dispute between a South Side podiatric practice and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. The story was correct in its description of the dispute and its explanation of the implications of the court decision, both for the two parties to the current dispute and for other similarly situated medical groups. However, the story did not mention that the assets of the podiatric practice, including the name under which it did business, Chatham Foot Specialists, were sold earlier this year to a new owner. That owner, Chicago Podiatry Services, P.C., possesses the requisite corporate certificate from the state, in addition to individual practitioner licenses. It also offers evidence of a contract with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, although the insurer refuses to confirm or comment on this.
