Women had it easy at the Art Institute of Chicago’s Architecture & Design Society benefit at The Casino–all they had to do was channel Holly Golightly, since the night was “A Celebration of [her] Style.” With their classic black cocktail frocks and pumps-and pearls, of course-Karen Benn and Milli Zukowsky were dead-on. Dianne Dybsky went fashion-forward in a black Alaia sheath. Event co-chair Karen Mozer (in Issey Miyake) and Linda Coleman (in Prada) invoked Holly with pearl earrings. As for the men: Only Andrew Hollingsworth (blue blazer and khakis) and Curt Conklin (white dinner jacket, tuxedo pants) got it right, but Peter Schmitz tried by piling on strands of fake pearls he snatched off the tables. Sole tip: Monique Dekker, a 20-something from Holland, made the night. In the ladies’ room, she pulled a bottle of BodyGlide from her itsy-bitsy bag and rubbed it on the balls of her feet. “It keeps them from hurting in high heels. It saved me at my wedding,” she said. Tested, it works.
