Ronald E. Kickert, age 73, of South Holland, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife Judith, nee Nelson, of 51 years; proud father of Debra (Michael) Alch of Bannockburn, IL, David R. of Chicago, IL, Mark of South Holland, IL and Julie (Terry) Shaw of Crown Point, IN; loving grandfather to Harrison and Tomas. He was preceded in death in death by his parents, Peter and Winnie Kickert; and brother Harold. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 23, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. Directly at the United Presbyterian Church of South Holland, IL, 16440 Cottage Grove Ave., South Holland, IL, with Rev. David M. Kyllo and Rev. Jeanne Kumbalek officiating. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Rd., Lansing, IL. Ronald was a retired Investment Banker, a graduate of Northwestern University in 1953, former member of the International Monetary Market and also a volunteer and Panel Member of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Ronald was an encouraging, enthusiatic and unselfish dad and husband whose favorite goodbye was “God bless you on your journey”. “The best is yet to come”. He was always a loving and devoted husband, best friend and proud father, and will be missed by all.
