Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

As a longtime rider of the CTA, I can tell you it’s an adventure every day. (Rita RedEye question: What’s your CTA gripe? Aug. 10) But no matter what happens, a train eventually comes and you’ll get to your destination somehow. Take a good book, be patient and be prepared for anything.

Good things: watching women put on makeup [usually flawlessly]; watching the faces of the Cub fans to see who won the game; being “up close and personal” with strangers on crowded cars during rush hour; using the new Chicago Card.

Bad things: heat in the summer; air conditioning in the winter.

All in all, can’t beat the value and it’s cheaper than parking downtown!
