Jonathan E. “Wood” Walsh, Joliet Police Department Patrol Officer, age 27, passed away Friday, August 20, 2004, in the line of duty from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident while responding to an emergency call. Beloved son of Gregory and Norma, nee Shepard Walsh of Elwood; fond brother of Lisa (Donald) Kralik of Murfreesboro, TN, and Debbie (Lance) Stephenson of Hampshire; loving grandson of Clersie Sanders of Dolph, AR; uncle of five nieces and nephews; and loving boyfriend to Tristen Hnetkovsky. Officer Walsh will lie in state Tuesday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family present from 2 to 8 p.m., at Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black at Essington Roads, Joliet. Funeral services with full honors will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials to the Jonathan E.
