Emphasis on minority enterprise
The U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency and the Chicago Minority Enterprise Development Council are sponsoring the 22nd annual Minority Enterprise Development Week celebration.
The theme is “Forward to the Future: Minority Business Enterprise, the National Priority,” and the event will take place Wednesday through Friday at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, 2233 S. King Drive.
Workshop topics include global trade, accessing capital, taking advantage of government financing programs and free-trade services, and using e-commerce to grow business.
A reception and awards dinner will cap off the events on Friday in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. Tickets for the gala are $100.
