Elizabeth Ann Schaffer, formerly of Hinsdale and Indian Head Park, IL, passed away peacefully at her home in San Jose, CA on August 22, surrounded by her family. Elizabeth, who was born on May 9, 1915, grew up in Milwaukee, WI. During her rich life she lived in many different cities in the United States as well as in Canada. She was a beloved wife and mother. She was an artist, a lover of music, an avid walker and Tai Chi practitioner, a world traveler and a gardener. Her love of beauty was reflected in her life and her work. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 65 years, Rudie; and her children, Su Schaffer of Menlo Park, David Schaffer of Downers Grove, IL and Fran Schaffer of Chicago and Sarasota, FL. Memorial Service will be held at the Foothill Clubhouse at The Villages at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 26. In lieu of flowers the family requests that remembrances be made to Pathways Hospice Foundation, 201 San Antonio Circle, Suite #102, Mt. View, CA 94040.
