At least a dozen criteria were suggested for Roselle’s next full-time fire chief during a meeting between trustees and the search company this week.
Concerns included education, experience and management style. Candidates would be asked about short-and long-term visions they have for the department and the community.
The search firm, The PAR Group of Lake Bluff, will discuss the criteria with department heads, the Police and Fire Commission and the Fire Protection District before drafting a recruitment letter for board approval.
Robert Gallas became interim fire chief earlier this month. His replacement likely will be named in about 90 days.
