To my surprise, I discovered recently that the high school I graduated from in June, John Hersey High School, is now considered a failing school.
This is absolutely ridiculous.
This fall I will start my first year at the University of Chicago in large part because of the outstanding teachers that I had while in high school.
If I had attended a school that really was a failure, there is a good chance that I would not be where I am today.
