Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards–held for the first time in Miami–will be a sea-and-be-seen event. Instead of coming to the show in Bentleys or limos, the big-name stars will arrive via yachts.
But there’s a storm brewing. Apparently, size matters to the stars, who are bickering about who gets to have the bigger boat, a source told the New York Daily News.
Sunday’s event is the finale of a weekend of partying. Missy Elliott and Stuff magazine will host a party Saturday at a mansion on Star Island featuring Kanye West and Good Charlotte. The same night, Paris Hilton is having a party for photographer/director Dave LaChappelle at the club Mansion.
To get in on the Miami spice, check out the VMA preshow at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on MTV, followed by the awards at 7 p.m.
