It is extremely difficult to see why John Kerry is concentrating on his Vietnam war record while there are many more important issues to address. The fact that he went to war while George Bush didn’t is of little currency.
What is of far more importance is how Kerry faces the real problems of the present day. The middle class of America is losing ground every day to job outsourcing, fiscal deficits, soaring health care and wage erosion, just to name a few really important issues. We seem to be well on our way to becoming a Third World country.
It is time for the Kerry campaign to get beyond the candidate’s war record and start concentrating on the things that are of immediate concern. We really don’t care about events of decades ago.
