The Strikes for Songs bowling event to benefit the Geri Getlin Foundation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Hawthorn Lanes, 316 Center Drive, Vernon Hills. The money raised will fund one six-month theater scholarship for a student in kindergarten through 12th grade at the Buffalo Grove Park District’s Performing Arts Program. Geri Getlin was instrumental in putting together the program in 1988, said her son Carey. Call 847-419-8227.
