Lincoln Park’s Bill Rancic brought the title of “Apprentice” home to Chicago last season. Kevin (no last names yet) is trying to make it two in a row.

The 29-year-old University of Chicago law student with his own software company is among the 18 contestants trying to succeed Rancic as Donald Trump’s right-hand man. And he thinks he has the smarts to avoid the dreaded “You’re fired.”

“The Apprentice” premieres at 8 p.m. Sept. 9 on NBC.
