Maureen Boggins, passed away Aug. 25, 2004. To honor the memory of Maureen, a native of Swinford, Co. Mayo, Ireland, beloved servant of God. Maureen left England 35 years ago to pursue a career in private duty nursing, caring and ministering to many elderly and sick. About the same time Maureen also became involved in the Pro-Life Movement. In 1987 she began to volunteer at the Chicago Marian Center. Upon her retirement from the nursing profession in December 1996, she pursued her greatest desire to serve Our Lord and His Mother, by volunteering full time at the Chicago Marian Center. She became the Assistant Director of the Center at that time where she led pilgrimages, coordinated the registration for the conferences and most especially spent her time promoting devotion to the Most Blessed Sacrament, spending many hours in Adoration. We at the Chicago Marian Center are thankful for Maureen having shared her life and her gifts among us and we wish to invite everyone to a Memorial Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Eugene Catholic Church, Canfield & Foster Avenues, Chicago on Friday, Sept. 3 at 10 a.m. Reception to follow. All are welcome.
