The Chicago investment banker who faked his own kidnapping after a fight with his pregnant wife appeared in Cook County court Tuesday.

Zubair Ali Ghias, 27, disappeared on Valentine’s Day and claimed terrorists forced him to board a plane for Morocco, leading authorities to divert the flight.

Ghias was charged in March with making a false report of an offense. At his arraignment in April, he pleaded not guilty. On Tuesday, the case was continued, and the next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 22.

Ghias also faces federal charges of making false statements to the FBI.
