I read your article in RedEye on Monday (“Dating, without the goodnight kiss,” by Maegan Carberry, Aug. 30). I am happy you were able to meet a friend online, but that sounded a bit too weird. It is like auditioning for a friend. If it works for you, well who am I to judge? You should be less shy, more trusting of people and more adventurous. All you really need is one true friend, the others are just acquaintances.
