My daughter-in-law had a cyst removed from her right hand recently. About a week after the surgery, she was looking at her other hand and called out to my son, who was in a different room.
“I think I have a cyst starting on my other hand,” she said. “What can I do if I can’t use either hand?”
My son was quiet for a minute, then called out: “Guess we’ll just have to go to the secondhand store.” (She thought that was funny–and never needed the other hand operated on.)
