John Niedzlek. We wish friends and relatives to know of the death of John Niedzlek (Niedzialek) on Aug. 25, 2004 in Cary, NC. A Mass was held in the Chapel at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Cary on Sept 1. He was born on June 5, 1914 and served in the Air Force during World War II. He was married for almost 60 years to Mary, nee Pietrzak, Niedzlek, who died on Nov. 12, 2003. He is survived by a daughter, Marianne Niedzlek-Feaver and granddaughter Elizabeth Feaver of Cary, NC. Most of his friends and family, such as a sister, Regina Lily Niedzialek; godchildren; nieces and nephews still live in the Chicago area. Thus a Memorial Service to celebrate both the lives of John and Mary will be held in Chicago at a later date, probably sometime this spring. His daughter and granddaughter will be able to remember a most gentle and happy man who tried to share his joy whenever possible and seemed incapable of uttering a harsh word. A devoted family man, who comforted and sang to the wife he adored, even after dementia prevented her from recognizing him and forced her to see all as demons. Papa and dad, we will miss you!
