Carol Stream is on its way to becoming a Sister City to a community in Italy. After many years of searching, the village has selected the city of Cirie, Italy. In 1996, the village began its search for an appropriate Sister City when it became a member of Sister Cities International, a not-for-profit diplomacy network.
