John A. Strorigel, 89, passed away in Las Vegas, NV, on Sept. 2, 2004. He was born Oct. 11, 1914, in Chicago, IL. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Sally. John served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a longtime member of the Chicago Typographical Union. John remained totally active in retirement by selflessly volunteering at nursing homes and care facilities. He was deeply religious having spent his formative years at Angel Guardian Orphanage in Chicago. He supported untold charities, was especially active in the pro life movement and passed quietly to God’s care with loving friends and family at his side. He is survived by his loving sister Frieda Winandy and devoted nieces, nephews and cousins. Contributions to charities would be a fitting memorial to this kind and gentle man.
