Entrepreneurs offer insight
An estimated 2,000 women are expected to attend the 18th Annual Entrepreneurial Woman’s Conference presented by the Women’s Business Development Center.
The events are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Navy Pier, 600 E. Grand Ave.
The conference will present experts in the corporate, government and small-business sectors sharing information at panel discussions and workshops on issues affecting women-owned businesses. Other highlights include a Women’s Business & Buyers Mart, a Hall of Fame Awards Breakfast and Networking Reception, and the Women’s Forum Luncheon.
Participants in the forum luncheon, to be held at noon on Thursday, are Cathy Areu, founder and editorial director of Catalina magazine; Janice Bryant Howroyd, founder, chairman and CEO of ACT-1 Group; Geraldine B. Laybourne, chairman, CEO and founder of Oxygen Media; and Seattle Sutton, president and founder of Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating.
