A 2000 proposal from JMB Realty Corp. included a Lord & Taylor store with condos, a Marriott Suites hotel and other shops and restaurants. The plan from Chicago architects Solomon Cordwell Buenz replaced a concept from the firm Kohn Pedersen Fox.
