Max S. Joichi, the fourth son of Joe K. Joichi, passed away on Sept. 1, 2004, at age 82. Max was a long-time resident of Chicago and then West Chicago for 23 years. Surviving family include his wife, Yasuko in Glenview; and daughter, Janet in California. Burial will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9 at Montrose Cemetery. Memorial service was on Sunday, Sept. 5.
