Dorothy Shepard, age 77, passed away Sunday morning, Sept. 5, 2004 at Tendercare of West- wood, Kalamazoo, MI. Dorothy was born June 7, 1927 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel, nee Griggs, Shepard. Dorothy had been a resident of Kalamazoo, MI for many years. Before becoming a resident of Kalamazoo, Dorothy married the late Oliver Johnson in East St. Louis, IL. Dorothy is survived by her eight children, Thomas Shepard and Robert Shepard, both of Kalamazoo, Isiah (Sharon) Shepard of Scotts, Tyrice Shepard and Percy Shepard, both of Kalamazoo, Claude Shepard of Georgia, Diana Shepard and Debra Shepard, both of Kalamazoo; 29 grandchildren; two sisters, her twin, Doris Hayes of Chicago and Leola Greenlee of Aurora, IL; a host of great-grandchildren, friends and family. Family will receive friends Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, where Funeral Services will be held Friday 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
