I am appalled with the blatant hypocrisy shown by newspapers (the Tribune included) and television stations. We are not shown pictures of the devastation of our involvement in Iraq. We see no pictures of our wounded or killed soldiers, women or children in Iraq. And yet, we are allowed to view the horrifying carnage, the naked and bloodied bodies of women and children in Beslan, Russia.
A free society is not afraid of the truth, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us.
I would ask this of the Tribune: Look to your proud past. Remember what it was like to tell and show the truth. Respect is earned, and freedom is worth fighting for. What will you do?
