William B. Buckingham, M.D., age 80, of Oak Park, Veteran U.S. Navy, beloved husband of Margery, nee Cross; loving father of Cathlin (Albert) Poronsky, Megan (Michael) Hardy, Gillian, William (Natalie), Peter, Michael (Paulette), John, Maura (Joseph) Kaczkowski, Mark (Ann), David (Nancy) and Deirdre; devoted grandfather of 20; dear brother of Richard, M.D. (Mary Grace), Robert and brother-in-law of Louis Cross; fond uncle of many. Dr. Buckingham served on the medical staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and several other hospitals in the Chicago area and was also a Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University School of Medicine.
